Genesee County Youth Corp is a locally owned social service organization that has 42 years of experience providing shelter services for unaccompanied minors who run away or are homeless. Our goal is to reunify runaways with their families and assist older youth in moving from homelessness to self-sufficiency. We provide 24/7 free and confidential services. We offer rapid rehousing services for youth and adults and our Street Outreach Team engages homeless youth and adults with multiple types of assistance. Children below 18 years must provide parents or guardians permission to stay at our centers.
Traverse Place program of Genesee County Youth Corp offers quality transitional housing for homeless youth from 17 to 21 years of age. This program can go up to 21 months and provides help to homeless teens Owosso, MI counts on, and gets them on their feet and learning life skills.
Our program is available for those who are looking to get on their feet, need a place to stay, or need help graduating school.
