Being in a close relationship with someone struggling with addiction or problematic behaviors is highly stressful. With SMART Recovery Family & Friends we can help improve your understanding of the problem, the support available, and help you form a plan to regain control of your own life.
About SMART Family & Friends Program: The SMART Family & Friends Program (F & F) has used the four key points of SMART Recovery and adapted these to suit the needs of family & friends of people with a drug and/or alcohol addiction.
Rather than focusing on the loved one, the F & F Program invites participants to spend time concentrating on themselves and their goals, an area they may have been neglecting for some time. The F & F program explores ways participants can look after themselves better; even in difficult and stressful circumstances, and establish healthier relationships with their Loved One.
Taking steps to make changes in life requires considerable courage. Participating in a supportive environment, comprised of people sharing similar experiences, will hopefully lessen feelings of isolation and instill a sense of hope.
This meeting is held at the Bridge Church. You will go behind the building ( enter the drive just past Kroger’s so you will be going behind the store) go to the white door with a bridge on it. You will also see our flyer on the door. Go straight all the way down the hallway and then turn right and go through the door. Every Saturday at 2 pm.
