NAMI Basics on Demand, Family Support and Connections Support
NAMI is a volunteer non-profit support, education and advocacy organization for people with a mental disorder and their families and friends. We offer support groups for adults with disorders and family members. NAMI offers an online course for parents and caregivers of children with disorders. Our services are free of charge.
NAMI Basics on Demand is an online six-session education program for family who provide care for youth aged 22 or younger who are experiencing mental health symptoms. Information and registration: http://www.basics.nami.org
NAMI support groups are facilitated by NAMI-trained facilitators. Family support meets second and fourth Tuesdays and 7 p.m. NAMI Connections for people with a disorder meets second Tuesdays at 7 p.m. Call 810-232-6498 for information.
This is run by volunteers, like Karen Henry, that will return calls with in 24-48 hours. Mrs. Henry when she leaves a voice mail she will also send a text message to get you the information that is needed. If you prefer you can also send her an email. There is no set hours of operation, due to being only volunteers.
