Motivated by Faith, Inc.- Health Crisis in America
Motivated by Faith, Inc. is a Faith-based nonprofit organization with an 501(c) 3. Our mission is support those experiencing runaway, homelessness or female victims involved in sex trafficking. To bring awareness, crisis intervention and prevention on mental health, drugs and other substance abuses that the most vulnerable are faced with in their daily lives. We use education and workshops as an intervention and preventive approach.
We have several workshop tailored to many demographics in our communities. We use our workshops and resources to use education as an intervention and preventative approach to many crisis that the most vulnerable are faced with. We discuss the many risk factors associated with mental health, alcohol and other substances abuses. Such factors as food insecurity, housing insecurity, clothing insecurity, violence in the home and neighborhood, unemployment opportunities, bullying and cultural practices and beliefs can cause our youth to looking for coping mechanisms to deal with the problems and stress.
We discuss how these risky decisions can become risky behaviors, that can result in addictions, pregnancies and vulnerable to human trafficking. We give solutions to help those experiencing these vulnerabilities and how each group can help them. We give ways each group can empower themselves and others to join the causes and we give them the tools and resources to help others.
Workshops are tailored to the Religious Community, Colleges, Parents, Student 7-12 graders.
We have a workshop tailored for ages 1st-6th graders called “Playing It Safe.”
