Program Description

Employee Development Services
Program Description:
The Employee Development Program provides a comprehensive individualized process that assists persons seeking employment to develop or re-establish skills and improve work-related behaviors, personal characteristics, and/or functional capabilities to achieve a positive outcome. Services are designed to meet people’s needs, and community cultures are considered in service delivery planning.

Community Employment Services
Program Description:
Persons in the Community Employment Services Program can choose, obtain, and retain employment in the community or in the individual’s own business. Outcomes for the Community Employment Services Program may be individual placement, competitive employment, supported employment, transitional employment, and contracted work groups. Career Exploration is conducted throughout the service delivery process to determine participants’ vocational choices.

Self-Employment Services
Program Description:
Self-Employment Services is designed to facilitate the equipment, staffing, and community networking assistance necessary to provide prospective entrepreneurs with disabilities and other barriers with the support they need to succeed. These services may include business planning and management, marketing, training, funding, and financial management skills. Provided as well are consultation services, space for an equipped “business incubator”, and information on assistive technology necessary to create and build their business. Follow-up and post-business retention services are also included
on an individual basis.
