MTA Flint and the Genesee County Prevention Coalition are helping connect residents to prevention resources, youth opportunities and essential community services.
Transportation plays a vital role in connecting young people and families to opportunities, resources and support throughout Genesee County. That is why the Genesee County Prevention Coalition (GCPC) is excited to partner with the Mass Transportation Authority (MTA) Flint to help distribute the Youth Connections Magazine throughout the community.
The Youth Connections Magazine is designed to highlight local programs, youth leadership opportunities, prevention resources and positive activities available to young people and families across Genesee County. By partnering with MTA Flint, these valuable resources can reach even more residents where they already live, work and travel.
MTA Flint has long been recognized as more than just public transportation. Through innovative community-centered services, the organization continues to remove barriers that impact health and wellbeing. One of the most impactful programs offered through MTA is the Rides to Wellness initiative that helps residents access medical appointments and wellness-related destinations throughout Genesee County. Rides to Wellness provides door-to-door transportation options to community members who may face transportation challenges. The program was developed to help close gaps in healthcare access and improve quality of life for residents across the county.
This partnership between GCPC and MTA Flint reflects a shared commitment to prevention, community health, and youth empowerment. By making Youth Connections Magazine available through MTA rides and facilities more families can learn about prevention opportunities and supportive services available in the community.
Together, GCPC and MTA Flint continue to demonstrate the power of collaboration in creating a healthier, more connected Genesee County. To learn more about MTA Flint services, including Rides to Wellness, visit MTA Flint.
